THE BLESSING OF THE LORD: FROM THE CROSS TO THE THRONE ! "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." (Hebrews 2:14-15). This Jesus Christ lived and ministered on earth in the power of THE BLESSING is an indisputable, scriptural fact. But it needs to be made clear that He did not do it just to give mankind an example to follow. He didn't take on human flesh so He could show people how to live a BLESSED and godly life. Anyone who understands human nature knows such an idea is ridiculous. To expect fallen humanity to live like Jesus did by following His good example would be like expecting a stubby-legged, sway-backed donkey to win the Kentucky Derby by following the good example of a racehorse. It will never happen. It can't happen. No matter how much a donkey might want to be like a racehorse, it will never win the derby because it's born of the wrong bloodline. And no matter how much people want to live like Jesus, if they are born of the lineage of Adam, they will never be able to do it because they are born of a sinful seed nature. That's why God didn't send Jesus to be our example. He sent Him to be the firstborn of a whole new breed. Conceived in the womb of a virgin, Jesus was not just a spectacular and spiritually successful member of the fallen Adamic race. He was God's own Son--- the second member of the Godhead---clothed in a body of flesh that pulsed, not with the sin- contaminated blood of the first Adam, but with sinless blood generated by THE WORD of His Heavenly Father. He was the pure seed who would give raise to a whole new species of humanity--- a God born race of men, women and children with spirits as holy and full of divine glory as His own. A reborn race as pure as God Himself, completely on tainted by the bitterness of the curse. What Jesus came to earth to accomplish was sheer, supernatural genius. It was a plan so perfect and so perfectly hidden in God that, try as he might, the devil in all his craftiness could not figure it out. It was "a mystery.... Which God ordained before the world unto our glory: which none of the Princess of this world knew: for had they known it: they would not have crucified The Lord of glory." Had the devil and his crew been able to detect even the faintest inkling of what was going to happen when Jesus went to the cross, they would have left Him alone. They would have realized that one sinless life alone could never turn back the flood of evil that has been released through The Fall Of Man. They would have known that Jesus earthly ministry, powerful as it was, could not liberate a sin-enslaved world. Had they not been blinded by their own pride and spiritual darkness, they would have paid closer attention when Jesus declared: "Verily, Verily, I say unto you, Except a corn or wheat falls into the ground and die, it abided alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit... For this cause came I unto this hour" (John 12:24-27). Somehow, the whole demonic kingdom missed the point of those words. They failed to grasp it was not Jesus life but His death that would fill the earth with sons of God like Himself. It was through His crucifixion and resurrection that He would strip Satan of his authority and set earth's captives free. The host of hell were totally ignorant of that fact when they stirred up the People of Jerusalem and urge them to cry, "Crucify Him !" It never occurred to them that they were about to be ambushed by Almighty God. They just figured that by killing Jesus, they could get Him out of the way. When their attempts begin to succeed, they must have been mystified. They'd trying to kill Him many times and been unable to do it. Why was he suddenly submitting to torture and pain ? Why, instead of asking God to send legions of angels to protect Him, was He letting sinners jerk His beard out by the roots ? Why was He simply bowing His head beneath the skull- piercing crown of thorns, yielding His back to the flesh ripping Cat-o-nine-tail, and offering His hands to the iron nails ? They didn't know what you and I know--- that Jesus did it all to pay the price for the sins of all mankind. He gave Himself willingly, to become the sacrificial lamb for the whole world. He poured out His pure, sinless blood on purpose, to establish a Covenant between God and man--- a covenant that would reconcile them and restore THE BLESSING forever. However, we as born-again people of God: must crucify the flesh, and present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. No, Grace is not a license to continue practicing sin. If you want to be where God is you must die to your flesh. It did not get born-again ! (Romans 12: 1-2).
