THE BLESSING OF THE LORD AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD ! (Proverbs 10:22). "The Blessing of the Lord--- it makes [truly] rich, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increases it]." The amplified Bible. Actually, that's what Adam should have done. The moment the devil showed up in that snake suit, speaking evil of God and questioning His WORDS, Adam should have slammed the devil's face up against the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and said, "You see that tree ? That's God's tree. We do with it what He says. Now you shut your lying mouth !" Adam should have laughed in his face when he told them that God didn't want them to be like Him. He should have said, "Hey, we're already like God ! Haven't you heard ? He made us in His image and in His likeness. What you're doing is trying to make us like you, and you can forget that this is because where not interested !" Adam could have cursed the devil just like God did later and put him under their feet. God has given him the authority to do it. Had Adam used that authority instead of abdicating it, he could have done at the beginning what the last Adam has don already and that would have put an end of that age. He could have put an end to the devil's activities right then. He could have jailed him until the time came to throw him in the lake of fire. Incidentally that's where all who choose to serve Satan will end up ! That's how Jesus is going to deal with him and them in the millennium. He is going to lock the devil in a hole and slam the lid on it for 1000 year. Well, I don't think we should put all the blame on Adam." Someone might say. After all, the devil sneaked up on his wife while he was out tending the Garden." No, that's not how the book records it (Genesis 3:6) says Adam was there with her when it happened. He did not have power over her will. She turned to him and handed him the fruit. He was at Eve's side the whole time and could have straightened out her thinking before she got into trouble because although she was deceived, he wasn't. He walked into that sin with his eyes wide open. When he did, the unthinkable happened. The light went out. The fiery glory that had illuminated and surrounded Adam and his wife departed. And that is the way it is with typical humanity they are stumbling around in the darkness. At that moment, they saw their physical bodies for the first time. They realized they were naked, and they felt ashamed in other words, they became conscience of the fact that they were naked. As bad as that was, however, it was only the tip of the iceberg. It was only the part they could immediately see. What they couldn't see was the distortion that had taken place within them. They could sense it because they felt fear and shame for the first time in their short lives, but they could not possibly have grasped the full implication of what they had done. They couldn't have known the same thing that once happened to the devil was now happening to them. Because they had disconnected from God, the spiritual forces he has put within them were being twisted a hundred and 80°, becoming the total opposite of what God intended. You can be joined to a building that is called church and still be disconnected from God. Yes, "You must be born again not joined in ! They did not understand it at all, but the horror of it hit them right away. They knew they made a catastrophic choice when the light went out. But there was nothing they could do about it. They had unplugged from God and plug into Satan, and now there wasn't any way for them to break loose from it. They were like babies who had once been linked by a spiritual umbilical cord to God. That is the way it is like to this world who are linked to Satan, and are thinking because they are attending what is called church that they are connected to God. Don't be deceived ! Through that card, God's own love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and temperance had flowed continually into them. But now, that card linked them to the devil and every foul thing in him is flowing into them. Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, indecency, Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies), Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you before hand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. If you, then being risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ seated on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory. Modify (kill) are crucify, therefore, your members which are up on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness which is idolatry), for which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the sons and daughters of disobedience; in the which you also once walked, when you lived in them.
