THE BLESSING OF THE LORD ! You must shed the cares of this world on purpose, you have to make a quality decision, and give them to Jesus. Then, you must leave them in His hands by bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. That isn't always easy particularly when your mind is inundated with the thoughts and ideas of the world, but you can do it if you'll just remember that when you give your cares to Jesus, He receives them. When you put the situation that has concerned you into His hands and said to Him, "Lord, will you take care of this for me ?" He says, "Of course I will" ! One day, when I was rolling the care of a particular situation over on The Lord, he said it to me this way, Bobby, I will take care of it. I will be your Caretaker. And that was just a few days ago ! He pointed out to me that if I were to hire someone to be the caretaker of a piece of property, landscaping the find gardens and hedges, I wouldn't hire just anyone with a mower who knows nothing about gardening. I'd find someone trained and equipped to handle the job. I'd go looking for a caretaker who could tend to that property better than I ever could. Once I found him, I'd stop worrying about it and leave the property in his hands. That's what we do with Jesus. We let Him be our Caretaker because He is well able to do the job. Then we relax and enter into His rest. "Oh, Brother Lewis, I couldn't possibly relax right now ! My family is facing a financial crisis that could absolutely ruin us. It would be irresponsible for me not to be upset about it." As long as you take that attitude, you're trying to be your own god and you don't qualify for that position. You're supposed to be at peace. You're supposed to have a heart (soul) that's not troubled. You're supposed to be free of care because the cares of this world will choke the Word of Faith out of you. and without faith it's impossible for you to receive anything from The Lord. Jesus went to great lengths to teach us that in the parable of the sower. He said: "Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear The WORD of God, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire for other things entering in choke The WORD, and it (The Word) becomes unfruitful. (Mark 4:18 through 19). According to Jesus, cares our spiritual thorns. They can be overwhelming material burdens and exhausting emotional affairs--- or worry's. If we let them into our hearts and minds, they'll choke The WORD OF GOD and make it unfruitful in our lives. Months has passed as the situation keeps dragging on and I Kept fuming About it. Finally I found myself facing a meeting where I have to tell the trustee about the state of the ministry. I dreaded having to get up and admit to those people what a horrible job I'd done. I have many followers, but I do not ask for not one dime from them for this ministry. Because people get the idea that when they sow money into your life, they are the ones that make you rich. God will use obedient people to help you, when your obedience to His Word is made perfect (mature); because the Holy Spirit listens to The Word of God, when it is prayed are spoken in faith. However, I do tell the people about giving finances into fertile soil, yes I teach about tithing and the purpose for it. Again, people's thinking is not straightened out because of all the voices they are listening to when it comes to money. Some people want you to support them but they will not support your. Jesus said, whatever you do unto the least of my brethren you have done it unto me!Hebrews 10:35-36 "Do not, therefore, throw away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised." When it comes to the promises of the Word of God, we must do the instructions of God's Word and exercise steadfast patience having confidence that God is able to do abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power of his Word that dwells in us.
