THE BLESSING OF THE LORD !

THE BLESSING OF THE LORD ! I found out before long, that's when life gets good that's when it's sweet. When you're practicing the love of God, you get to where you don't even notice the bad stuff going on around you. You just plow it under foot and keep going. That's what I have learned to do with the ugly things some people say about me. What's more, I already have the good book that says all I need to know about me. I carry it with me everywhere in my soul I go. It's not just a trophy sitting on my dashboard of my truck. If someone says something ugly, I just look in The Book and find something good. After more than 40 years of practicing that, I don't care what they say. I can't stand and smile while people are saying negative things about me right to my face. Instead of listening to them, I just think, Bless their hearts and there negative soul, if they knew me the way God knows me, they would love me ! "Brother Lewis, are you saying you just ignore your enemies ? No, I don't ignore them, I love on them because that's what Jesus told us to do. He said: "Love your enemies, do good to them which persecute you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that slap you on the one cheek offer also the other; (now that's where you're going to need supernatural faith) and him that taketh away your cloak for bed him not to take your coat also. Give to every man that asked of thee; and of him that take away thy goods asked them not again. And as you would that men should do to you, do you also to them likewise. For if you love them (it's talking about your Christian brother or sister as well as family members) which love you, what thanks have you ? For sinners also love those that love them. And if you do good to them which do good to you, what thanks have you ? For sinners also do even the same. And if you lend to them something hoping to receive it back, what thanks have you ? For sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Being you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful (Luke 6:27-36).
