THE BLESSING OF THE LORD !

THE BLESSING OF THE LORD ! SOME PEOPLE THROW ROCKS : If the children of Israel had done that kind of thing, believing God and trusting THE BLESSING to work for them, even in the midst of contrary circumstances, they could have marched right through the willingness and into the Promised Land. They could have overcame every enemy that rose up against them. They could have wiped every giant in sight and made themselves at home in the land of milk and honey. Without having to spend 40 years in the wilderness. "I don't know about that," someone might say. "They didn't know much about living by faith, and they faced some pretty tough circumstances." Just as we do ! That's true, but God has fully equipped them and us to meet the challenge. Joshua and Caleb proved it. They stood up against all there unbelieving, stiff neck, complaining, fearful friends, neighbors and relatives who refused to go into the Promised Land. They believe THE BLESSING when everyone around them said it wouldn't work. Do you know people like that today ? To those kind of people this is the only reality they can see feel taste or touch and even hear ! That is because they try to operate in the kingdom of God principal on the lower level of human fallen nature which is of Lucifer and not of God our Father. "And they speak unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceedingly good land. If THE LORD delights in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which flows with milk and honey. Only rebel not you against THE LORD, neither fear you the people of the land; for they are bred for us: their defense is departed from them, and THE LORD is with us: fear them not (Numbers 14:7--9). Do you know how those unbelieving people responded to Joshua and Caleb's words of faith ? They grabbed rocks and wanted to stone them. That doesn't surprise me at all. I've found out through the years that people who choose not to believe and walk in THE BLESSING of God often throw rocks at those who do. Believe in THE BLESSING of prosperity; Prosperity is not just about finances, it's about pleasing God in his methods of our operation in the kingdom of God.. People get mad about it; and that's what those wilderness wanderings Israelites did. They groaned and dug in their heels of unbelief for 40 years. God had to let that whole generation--- of unbelieving Israelites with the exception of the two men of faith--and the children of that generation of unbelievers- die in the desert. God didn't want that to happen. He tried His best to get them to go into the Promised Land. God will not come against your will ! He'd spoken to them again and again, saying, "Will you please come on ?" But when it comes time to cross over, they refused to to believe God will do for them what He said He'd do. At that point, God closed the door. He finally said to them, "Your children will go in to Canaan along with Joshua and Caleb, but you'll never see it." That might sound harsh but God has no alternative. He couldn't afford to let that grew in to the Promise Land. They would have destroyed it with their unbelief. The New Testament tells us how God felt about the choice the unbelieving Israelites made. and it should urge us not to follow in their footsteps. It says: ("Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: when your fathers tempted me, proved to me, and saw my works 40 years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I swear in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you and evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God (Hebrews 3:8--12). Those of us who love THE LORD should remember those words we should never forget that when we choose the path of unbelief, and fail to receive by faith THE BLESSING that belongs to us as His children, it doesn't only hurt us, it grieves the heart of our heavenly Father. In His great love and compassion, He has been working for thousands of years to get THE BLESSING back on His family. He has given His WORD, shed His blood and poured out His Spirit--- all for one reason: so the world He so loved from the very beginning could at last be BLESSED.
