THE BLESSING OF THE LORD ! When God cut the covenant with Abraham, He appeared as "a burning lamp" that pass between the pieces of the sacrificial animals (Genesis 15:17). To the Psalmist, God revealed Himself as the One who covers Himself "with light as with a garment" (Psalms 104:2). In (Ezekiel's vision, God had "the appearance of a man...[With] fire round about... From the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward... The appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about" (Ezekiel 1:26--27). When the prophet Habakkuk saw Him, "His brightness was like the light; He had rays [brightness like splendor] flashing from His hand, and there His power was hidden " (Habakkuk 3:4). New King James version. On the day of Pentecost when God poured His Spirit out on the early disciples, "there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire" (Acts 2:3). When the Apostle John received the revelation and solve God on His throne, he saw lightning and fire round about (Revelation 4:5). When I had the out of body experience, as I stood on the clouds; I noticed two beings one to the left and one on my right, they were herded. I noticed a brilliant light and I heard a voice, saying it is not your time yet. The two herded beings were standing left and right and I told them to go back to where they came from, and they descended back to the earth. In John's vision of the New Jerusalem, "the city has no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to sign in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof" (Revelation 21:23). From Genesis to Revelation, God is Light ! So, using Scripture to interpret Scripture, we can assume that in (Genesis 1:3) when God said, "Light be ! He actually released His own substance (Light) into the void that was space. He released Himself--- His on creative, glorious, compassionate, life filled glory (that's one of the Bible words for it) and that glory became the envelope for the universe. It made a kind of container in which all material things begin to form--- the planets, the stars, the oceans and every other natural element. In other words, God's glory Light became the basis of all matter. "What do you know about it ? Someone might ask. "You're a preacher not a scientist." Yes, but if you ask scientists who are brave enough to give you an honest answer, the'll tell you much the same thing because science has been catching up with the Bible in recent years. Researchers and physics experts who have the integrity to admit it or not acknowledging that the universe begin as a result of a massive explosion of electromagnetic radiation (i.e. light) and has been expanding ever since. That radiant energy, which includes not only light waves visible to the human eye, but also those that are invisible, became the substance of all material things. Scientists now acknowledge that what the Bible has told us for thousands of years is true: light was the original force of the universe and continues to be the ultimate power of all creation. Do you realize what that means ? It means that God, who is Light--- compassion Himself--- used His own glory to make this planet. It means that even before the foundation of the world God loved us so much that He decided to build a dwelling place for us out of the very substance of His own Love filled, light filled nature. When God said, "Light be !" He did more than ignite the "big bang" that would set the universe in motion. He released a very essence of Himself into this material creation because he That wanted the family He was about to create to be eternally surrounded with 100%, absolute Good. He wanted us to be surrounded by His own glory and to be able to say with joy, "In Him we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28 !) If that doesn't like your spiritual fire, my friend, your wood is wet !
