THE BLESING OF THE LORD AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD ! It confirms the staggering, spiritual capacity God has given to man. It also proves that although the curse carries the Lucifer's nature and influence, he is in the driving force behind it. He doesn't have that kind of power. In fact, the only power he has he gets it from you or me ! He can't do anything at all in the earth without human assistance. On his own, he couldn't have affected one square inch of this planet. Because he is full of pride, he would like for us to think otherwise. He'd like us to believe he's an absolute powerhouse and that we, as human beings, or just unworthy, little worms that God has mercy on. But don't fall for that. It's a lie. Even fallen, unredeemed men and women are more powerful than the devil and can take authority over him to some degree. (They rarely do because he has them deceived and bound by fear, but they have the ability). Just one human being has such tremendous spiritual capacity that thousands of demons can live in and around him or her. If you doubt it, read the New Testament account of the madman of the Gadara. He had so many devils inside him that when Jesus cast them out and sent them into a herd of pigs, they drove all 2000 of those pigs crazy----so crazy, in fact, that they rushed off a cliff and drowned the pigs in the sea. That shows just how helpless demons are when they're on their own. Through the man from the Gadara, they were able to terrorize the entire region and everyone in it. Once they lost that man's authority, they couldn't even control a herd of pigs. If one man has that much power in his fallen state, how much power and authority to do we, as believers, have ? We have all power and all authority--- because Jesus does, and we are in Him, and He in us. The devil doesn't want you to know it, but this is the truth: there's nothing bigger in this universe than redeemed men and women who know that they are from the curse of the law. Oh, Brother Lewis, surely God is bigger than a redeemed man or woman ! God Is the Most High. There's no argument about that. But if you think that lowers our spiritual status, consider this: through Jesus, the Most High God lifted us up to His level. By seating a born-again, resurrected man at His right hand as an eternal member of the Godhead, the Most High has included all of us who by faith are "in Christ," in the Godhead, too. He has made us part of the Body of Christ and the pillar of the Church, and set us "far above all principalities, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come." (Ephesians 6: 12) There is a Man in the Godhead ! THE MAN, Jesus ! A BITTER PILL TO SWALLOW ! The principalities and powers mentioned in the verse above are the demonic spirits that move into the atmospheric heavens around the earth after the Fall of Man. They invaded the spiritual realm of this planet when the curse drove out all the angels who had been created to minister to mankind. As facilitators of THE BLESSING, those angels had to withdraw when THE BLESSING became the curse. Think of it ! All the angels that work for Gabriel, the Archangel of God's communication system, were suddenly gone. All the angels under the command of Michael, the Archangel of the heavenly host, were gone. Their absence opened the way for the devil and his principalities and powers to set up their kingdom. From the moment Adam sinned until the day of Pentecost described in Acts 2, ministering angels could visit the earth only on specific assignments in specific places. They ascended and descended only in isolated instances as they did on Jacob's ladder. It's no wonder the Hebrew root of the word curse means "bitterness" because the curse made Adam and Eve's lives better in every way. In fact, it made all humanity life better ! Except those who are truly in Christ Jesus.
