THE ABILITY OF GOD---SPEAK FAITH FILLED WORDS IN PRAYER: There are several ways that you can release the ability of God within you, remember the Scripture says that Christ in you is the hope of glory ! You can release God's ability in prayer. You can release God's ability to speaking faith filled Words. If you will team both of these together, speaking faith filled words in prayer, then it will become a mighty force working for you. We are dealing primarily with releasing the ability of God through prayer, the prayer of faith or the prayer of petitions, through accurate prayer. In accurate prayer, if answered will spell trouble. WHAT PRAYER IS NOT: Before going any further, let's find out what prayer is not. Prayer is not telling God your problems. Jesus said, Your Father knoweth what things you have need of, before you ask him (Matthew 6:8). For years, I thought to pray was to tell God the problems that I was having. No that is not prayer. That is complaining ! Telling God the problems is complaining. Prayer is not trying to change God's mind. God changes not, in other words, His Word does not change. Have you ever wonder why Jesus said, whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). All heaven will stand behind what you say in prayer if it is in line with the Word of God, which is the Will of God for every human being's life. But not only will it work in prayer, it will also work in the things you speak. Isn't it crazy how the world has you your kids singing speaking talking out of the side of their next sought speak. And you wondering why things haven't changed. You can lose the ability of Satan against yourself by the words of your mouth, even in prayer, the Scripture says in (Proverbs 18:21) "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit that God." Whether it's Death Or Life ! In (Matthew 6), Jesus is teaching his disciples principles of prayer, and Jesus knew how to teach prayer accurately. If anyone knew how to pray, I believe Jesus did. So let's see what Jesus said about prayer: but when you pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathens do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them; for your Father knoweth what things you have need of, before you ask him (Matthew 6:7--8). Notice Jesus said that the Father knows the need before we ask Him. So we can determine from the word of God that you don't get your Proust answer because you need it answered. I believe we can safely pull that out of this Scripture and say it is a fact from the Word of God: prayer is not telling God your need. Some people have prayed, "Lord, I need this," and "Lord, I need that." He knows, but he doesn't answer prayer on the basis of need. If he did, there would be no needs. Need is not what moves God; Faith does.
