STIR UP YOUR MIND TO REMEMBER ! "But Brother Bobby, I came from a rough back ground. I just don't think I have the capacity to walk in that kind of love." Yes, you do ! As a born again child of God, you've been born of the Spirit of compassion. You have been re-created in the likeness of Love Himself. You're not just an old forgiven sinner. You're a new species of being. Your old background has passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). And you did not get born again by joining what is called church, you realize that you were a sinner in need of a Savior: and Jesus who is the Christ is that Savior. Everything in us is made of love. All God's mercy, goodness, kindness, love, joy, peace and meekness have been invested into you who is a spirit. You have the same capacity to love that God has because His own love has been shed abroad in your heart (spirit and soul) by the Holy Ghost. What you must do is activate that capacity by making love the priority of your life. You must decide that, first and foremost, you are a keeper of the commandment of love. You may be a husband, wife, father or mother. You may be a preacher or a businessman or a businesswoman. As important as those roles are in your life, job note. One is to watch over that command and guard it. Keep it in your mouth, your eyes and your ears. Keep it ever before your face so you can be the husband, wife, father, mother, preacher or businessman or woman you should be before God. It's surprising, but most people in the Body of Christ don't do that. I used to wonder why. I know it couldn't be because they don't know about it. You can ask a thousand born-again Christians anywhere, at anytime of the day if we're supposed to love one another, and everyone will say, "Yes." Not one will say, "I don't know. I never heard anything about that." God's command of love is so basic, everyone knows it. Yet, the vast majority of Christians do not practice it. We are not famous for the way we love each other. We aren't known for our squabbles. Why is that ? It's because we don't keep love in the forefront of our thinking. We forget about it ! To love is not just a four letter word either. Love is a action word ! God so loved the world that he gave, His only begotten Son; that whosoever shall believe upon Him shall be saved ! The word saved is the same word salvation: which means deliverance, soundness, preservation and healing. Two say that you love someone, is to show an act of kindness towards them. It is not just to say I love with no action that is not love that is just a four letter word that has been pre-trade as love. When you tell God the Father and the Son even the Holy Spirit that you love them, you show them by your service to them. It is not just merely lip service!
