STIR UP YOUR MIND TO REMEBER ! The Lord knew that the people of this world system was going to be a problem for us who do not operate by its ways. That's why He inspired the Apostle Peter to write: This second epistle, "Belove, I now write to you; in both which I stir up your pure minds (souls) by way of remembrance: that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of The Lord and Savior: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: where by the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: but the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:1-7). All too often, we let the Savior's love command slip simply because we haven't put it into our minds memories. How do we change that , by surrounding oneself with reminders of that command. By thinking about it first thing in the morning and all day long. By confessing scriptures like those in (1 Corinthians 13) and say: "The love of God is in me so I am patient and kind, the love of God is in me so I do not envy and I'm not puffed up. The love of God is in me so I don't behave rudely or selfishly. The love of God is in me so I am not provoked and I think no evil. By the love of God that abides in me, I bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endures all things. God's love in me never fails. If you're committed to keeping the command of love, you should be making those kinds of confessions all the time. I know that the things of this world and the people that of the world are pulling at us with their distraction. You can Drive down the street with one hand on the steering wheel and the other pointing at heaven saying, "I love my neighbor as myself because that's pleasing to my Father. He loves me as much as He loves Jesus. And I walk in the power of His love." Then, if someone pulls out in front of you, you won't hit the horn and try to blow their back tires out--- and then have two repent for it later. You'll respond in love instead of offense. You'll say, "Oh God, BLESS that person," because you're already in motion. You're already a BLESSING going somewhere to be a BLESSING.
