SLOTHFUL MAN OR WOMEN PROPHESIES HIS OR HER OWN DOOM : In (Proverbs 22:13), We find this statement: "the slothful man saith, there is a lion without, and shall be slain in the streets." The slothful man or woman is one who isn't going to do anything. He or she just sits there and says, "I'll be eaten." He or she doesn't even run, he or she could at least make an effort to get out of the street. But they prophesied their own doom. Those who don't act on the Word of God or doing that all the time. They say, "Well, you know, we're all gone under." "Nothing ever works out for me." The world's going to blow up in one big atomic blast, and we're all going to be doomed." The slothful man or woman prophesies their own doom. NATURAL THINGS REFLECT SPIRITUAL THINGS : We Are Capable of Conceiving God's Word in our spirit, in fact we are capable of conceiving in our spirit the things of the world and of the devil bringing forth production of what is said and done, likewise bringing forth production of what God said in His Word. Remember, hope is a goal setter. Sometimes, when we see these things in the Bible, we can to take them completely out of their natural setting. When Jesus talked about sewing a seed, He didn't take it away from the soil and say, "This is a spiritual thing." We make a serious mistake when we totally separate the natural from the spiritual. God's Word is spiritual, but it works like a natural seed. And what the devil tells you are say to you through the media of this world is a seed. The heart of man is spiritual, but it works like natural soil. Let me give you an illustration of how the heart is designed to produce. Let's bring it down to the natural level where we can all understand it. There probably is a piece of equipment at your house calling heating and air-conditioning unit. It is the heart of the heating and cooling system. That unit has been designed by an engineer to control the temperature of your home. That's all it was designed to do. It is designed to produce whatever you dial into that little thermostat on the wall, which we will call a goal setter. The heart of that unit was designed to produce whatever temperature you dial into that thermostat. The numbers on that thermostat represents degrees of temperature. Let's say it is 80° outside, and you want the temperature to be 70° inside. Your job would be to turn that goal setter to 72°. As long as it is kept on 70°, that unit will work night and day to see that the goal is reached. You wouldn't have too fast and pray that it would get cold in your house. The unit knows how to do it. That is what it was designed to do. You would simply dial the goal setter, and it would send an in cost to the heart of that unit and say, "get That us some cold air in here. It's hot." With the thermostat on 70° when it's 100° outside, you have centered a problem for the heart of that unit. But it can handle it. That is all it knows to do, but it can do it well. Then unit won't wash your clothes, it won't cook you your food, it won't clean your house. It wasn't designed to do those things. It was designed for one purpose: to produce what you have dialed into the goal setter.
