Releasing the Ability of God through Prayer ! ! !

RELEASING THE ABILITY OF GOD THROUGH PRAYER; KNOW GOD'S WILL: Sometimes we pray for things we don't need and are not good for us. I heard of Amanda World War II who pray for God to move him from one concentration camp to another just a few miles away. He prayed and God answered his prayer. He was very happy, but it was short lived. In a few weeks the Allied forces came into the camp he left and liberated all the prisoners. He stayed two more years in the other camp. He used his faith and his prayer was answered, but it prolonged the problem. First of all, you need to determine what is the will of God. When you know God's will, you know that God is going to hear you. The Word says if God hears you, you will get what you ask. (1 John 5:14--15) is simply saying that if you get an audience with your Father, you will get your prayer answered. When I was growing up, I knew if I could get to my dad, I could get that dollar I wanted to take to school the next day. Unfortunately I never knew my father, so I decided to take God as my Father. So I couldn't get an audience with my earthly father. I knew if I could get an audience with my heavenly Father I would get what I wanted. The Word tells us how to get an audience with our heavenly Father. Yes, the Bible says pray without ceasing, However if you're not talking God's language he does not hear you. And faith is God's language ! Sometimes we think the Lord must have heard us because we have goosebumps running up and down our back. Remember you cannot contact God with your feelings or your emotions. That has nothing to do with it, because it's all in the five since realm. You may get some feelings [and that's all right], but don't base your faith on feelings. What if you don't get any feeling at all ? That's all right, too. That doesn't change the word of God . In other words, you cannot contact God through the five since realm, you can only contact God through the spirit of man. . . . "Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that way everything is like a wave of the sea driven with the win and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways ." (James 1:6--8). You receive because you believe God and act on His Word. Goosebumps will never produce any answer to prayer--- faith in God will ! And the object of your faith should be the Word of God, which is the will of God.
