PRAYER IS BASED ON LEGAL DOCUMENTS: Now I'm not trying to get you under the Law of Moses, which is The Old Covenant. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying. I want you to see the need of accurately stating your prayer according to the Word that Jesus taught. He said that he wouldn't do it because he was his friend. But thank God, we have a contract with our Father, The New Covenant and we are part of the family, joint-heirs with Jesus. This is just a friend who came to a man for bread. There is no relationship, just friendship, but we are born of God. And how are we born of God ? The Scripture says, in (1 Peter 1:23) "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever." The King James Bible. The amplified Bible of the same passage of Scripture says, "you have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal organ (seed, sperm), but from one that is immortal by the ever living and lasting word of God." He is our Father and we are His children. Now, Jesus goes on to say, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give. . . At times we have become bogged down in this passage of Scripture and have failed to see that this is not portraying God in all. He is simply showing you that prayer is not based on friendship or on need. God My Father and your Father answers prayer because He is your Father; you are His sons or daughters and you have a covenant With Him through the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Word. He says, Ask and it shall be given you. . . For every one that asketh, receiveth. Now, what is the rule for asking, let it be in faith, not wavering or doubting. This runs parallel with what Jesus brought out in (John 15:7), "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you." He didn't say, "Ask what you will, then beg, plead, and keep on asking." He said, "Ask what you will and it SHALL Be done." Notice, the condition, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you ! He didn't say if you continue in the world, No he is saying that his word must abide continue in you. Remember what Jesus said if you be ashamed to confess me before men he will be also asame to confession you before the angels. He is simply saying that you must confess the Word of God before men. What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall have them. You release faith when you pray, faith is released through the words that you speak. The opposite end of that is fear is release when you use words from your mouth. Too many times we have waited to release our faith when we see it is getting better. You know that wouldn't require any faith at all. You would know it then. Sense knowledge or head knowledge would tell you then. That is not faith. Release your faith when you pray. The mixer is the tongue of your mouth ! Satan does not care how much you pray as long as it doesn't work. But when we learned that the Words of God was given to us to put us over in life and to cause us to be the victorious over the evil one and the world, we will walk in victory here on earth. "They which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17). The amplified Bible says, "Those who receive God's overflowing grace and the free gift of righteousness reign as kings in life."
