NO SUBSTITUTES: When you substitute the Law of faith that God taught Abraham for good business practices, you are headed for trouble. Right on the other hand, when you substitute good business practices for natural human faith you are headed for trouble. Don't ever settle for good business practices along and don't ever settle for traditional church views. Every day people go bankrupt operating on good business sense without the Word of faith. And Sunday after Sunday there are everyday people that substitute the Word of God for how they feel. Remember The Word of God, says that we are in the world but not of the world: meaning that we do not operate by the kingdom of this world standards; the government of the kingdom of God system is different from the kingdom of this world. They talk negative Because the world is in a negative stream. They quote the 5 o'clock news, and the 10 o'clock news. They are all filled with negative things. You must mix the Abraham kind of faith, which is the God kind of faith with what you say and do. Exercise the God kind of faith in what you are doing. (Psalms 1:3). A certain man called that had been calling me regularly for some time. He said, "Now, brother Lewis, I'm doing what the Word said. I'm Confessing God's Word over my finances However, you must do what the Word of God says to do concerning finances (Luke 6:38) Give. Why isn't it working?" Well, the very fact that he had to ask, "Why isn't it working?" Prove that he didn't believe that it was working. He was not in faith. He was looking at circumstances. Faith in God's Word keeps on saying what God has said, you have to hold fast to your to the confession of God Word knowing that it is working. The man said, "I have done everything the Word of God tells us to do. What do I do now?" I said, "just keep doing it! The ball game isn't over. Just keep doing it. It doesn't happen overnight. It takes time to change some things. You didn't get that way overnight, and you can't change it overnight." He called back in about a month, and said, "it isn't working." Finally, I told him, "The problem is about 1 inch below your nose. Your mouth. God said it is working. You say it isn't." (Hebrews 10:35--36) "Do Not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God and thus receive and carry away [and enjoy to the full what is promised." The amplified Bible. Now, in the King James version this (Hebrews 10:35--36) reads, "Cast not away, therefore, your confidence, which has great recompense of reward. For you have need of patience that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise." Your confidence in doing what God's Word says should be enough that God is able to do abundantly above all that you say or think concerning his promise. YOUR FAITH AND GOD'S WORD PLUS TIME--CHANGES THINGS: I saw the same man about a year later, and he said, "Glory to God it's working! The Word works, when you work it God's way! It was working all the time, but it just took a wild for the results to be manifested. Many people fail to realize that it takes time for things to develop. It takes time to turn things around. If you have been negatived for 15 years, you are not going to change it in four days. First, you must set things in motion, even in the spiritual realm. 750 years before God sent Jesus into this earth, he spoke it through the prophet Isaiah. God started saying it 750 years before it came to pass. But so often we want things to happen overnight. I'm sorry it just doesn't work that way. LACK OF KNOWLEDGE: when I first heard the message of faith and confession, I was in TDC J about1980, I didn't know that was in the Bible. I had never heard anyone preach on it. I didn't know that Jesus said you could have what you say. I thought, "if that were true, they would have taught are preached that in what you call church." However, many people who call themselves preachers, apostles, evangelists, bishops are teaching man's doctoring not the teachings of Jesus Christ who is Lord. But they didn't know anything about it in the place that I called church at one time. When I heard about it, I looked into the Word of God myself and check it out. It was there. Jesus actually says it. "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you received them, and you shall have them." (Mark 11:23--24). I have been practicing this principle of the kingdom for years. As of this day I have not so much as heard a pastor, Bishop, prophet, evangelist, or teachers excepted men and women of the Word of Faith movement, teach on these things.
