JESUS CHRIST CAME AND WAS PREACHING THE KINDOM OF GOD ! Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. It is found in the Gospel of Luke 4: 40 through 44). Now, what we have been hearing is not the gospel of the kingdom of God; we have been hearing men and women preaching the gospel of salvation which is a part of the gospel of the kingdom of God. You will never find in the Scripture where Jesus in the beginning of his ministry telling me in and women that they help to be saved. Notice in Luke's Gospel. "Now the setting of the sun [indicating the end of the Sabbath], all those who had any [who were] sick with various diseases brought them to Him, and He laid His hands on every one of them and cure them. Note, that demonic activity and influence are associated with sicknesses and diseases ! Verse 41, And demons even cried of many people, screaming and crying out, You are the Son of God ! But He rebuked them and would not permit them to speak, because they knew that He was the Christ (the Messiah). And when daybreak came, he isolated [desert] place. And the people looked for Him until they came up to Him and try to prevent Him from leaving them. But He said to them, I must preach the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God to the other cities [and towns] also, for I was safe for this [purpose] verse 44, And He continued to preach in the synagogues of Galilee." The amplified Bible. Now for another witness: (Mark 1:9 through 14). "In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when He came up out of the water, at once he [John] saw the heavens torn open and the [Holy Spirit] like a dove came down [to enter] into Him. And there came a voice out from within heaven, You Are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased. Immediately the Holy Spirit from within drove Him out into the wilderness (desert). And He stayed in the wilderness (desert) 40 days, being tempted [all the while] by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts, and the angels ministered to Him [continually]. Verse 14, Now after John was arrested and put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the good news (the Gospe) of the Kingdom of God. Verse 15, And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (The Gospel)." After Jesus had trained His disciples, He sent them to preach the kingdom of God (Luke 9:1-2-3). "Then Jesus called together the 12 [apostles] and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, And He said them out to announce and preach the kingdom of God and to bring healing. And He said to them, Do not take anything for your journey--- neither walking stick, nor wallet [for a collection- bag], nor food of any kind, nor money, and do not have two undergarments (tunics). And whatever house you enter, stay there until you go away [from that place]. And wherever they do not receive and accept and welcome you, when you leave that town shake off [even] the dust from your feet, as a testimony against them. And departing, they went about from village to village, preaching the gospel and restoring the afflicted to health everywhere." The amplified Bible. Then Jesus tells his followers to "Seek first the kingdom of God ! (Matthew 6:33)
