FEAR TOLERATED IS FAITH CONNTAMINATED ! In many cases, people only pray when they are in a crisis situation: and they pray in fear; and not faith. Accurate prayer is only formed on the basis of the promises of God's Word. God is a faith God he only response to faith, not fear. that why He said "fear not" ! On the other hand Satan and demons response to fear ! "But, Brother Lewis, in some situations fear is inevitable, isn't it ? Aren't there times when we just can't help being afraid ?" No, there aren't we are now supposed to respond in fear, but with the sword of the Spirit of faith. As born-again believers, we never have to be afraid. Because, God is not the author of fear: but of faith. Jesus settled that issue with what He said in (Mark 5) to a man named Jairus who came seeking healing for his dying child. If you're a parent, you know there is no situation more potentially terrifying than that. Most parents would rather face death themselves than to see their children die. Leaving his daughter at home on her deathbed, Jairus went to find Jesus. He shoved his way to the front of the crowd that had gathered on the shore of the lake to await His arrival. The minute Jesus stepped out of the boat, Jairus fell down at His feet, "and besought him greatly, saying, "My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live" (verse 23). That was his, statement of his faith. "She shall live." That was Jairus confession of faith. That was what he believed would happen when Jesus go's to his house. He has replaced the inner image of his daughter falling prey to death and replaced it with an inner image of Jesus coming to his house and laying hands on her. Calling things that be not as though they were, he declared, "she will be healed and live " Notice Jesus went with him; because God only response to faith: and much people followed him, and thronged him (verse 24). Hoping that perhaps they may get the power to flow on them. But, many of them did not touch him with faith. For a few minutes, everything looked as if it were going according to Jairus faith plan. But then someone intervened, and things started to happen that he hadn't envisioned. A certain woman, which had an issue of blood 12 years, and has suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, "If I may touch but his clothes, "I shall be whole". Notice, the statement as well as her actions towards her faith. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague (verses 25 – 29). Had Jesus just kept walking when that happened, things might have gone differently for Jairus. But He didn't. He (Jesus) stopped and asked who had touched Him. And his disciples said unto him, "Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me ? And he looked around about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth (versus 31 – 33).
