FAITH IN GOD'S WORD MAKES PRAYER WORK ! The one element that makes prayer work is faith in God's Word. Faith is a spiritual law designed to unlock the treasures of the unseen. Sometimes people will classify this one or that one as a faith teacher. If you teach or preach the Word of God, not some theological seminary training or religious ideas; you are a faith teacher preacher. The Word of God is the Word of faith. (Romans 10:8-9). Prayer gets its power from the Word of Faith ! And faith works by love. Somehow down through the years we have gotten the idea that prayer makes faith work. It doesn't. Faith in God's Word makes prayer work. In other words, God's word mixed with your words makes prayer works. Faith words will without prayer, but prayer will not work without faith words ! You can put your faith to work through prayer. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (Jane 5:15). PRAYER DOES NOT CHANGE GOD IT CHANGES YOU AND YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES ! "But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking (Matthew 6:7). Jesus cut away some religious theology right there. I had always heard that if you just keep praying, God will finally answer you. "Just keep on praying, keep bombarding the gates of heaven !" Some have the religious idea thinking if you can get more people praying, you will finally talk God into it. No, it is the prayer of faith that works. However, you are not going to change God by your praying to God said, I am the Lord, I change not (Malachi 3:6). You can change yourself or your circumstances or situation by praying and getting yourself in line with the Word so God can answer. Again, The prayer of faith changes things, but it does not change God, it moves heaven and earth on your behalf. Hezekiah is a good example of this. God sent a prophet to tell him to get his house in order for he was going to die. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, prayed, repented, and changed his position before God. Then God said, "You will live 15 more years. (Isaiah 38:1-6) the Scripture give us the words he used in prayer that he prayed. Many think that he prayed and change God's mind. For years I thought that was true, but he didn't change God. It was God's will all along that he live a full life , but Hezekiah got of His (God's) will and God said that this would cause him to die a premature death. When he repented, God said, Now you will live." You do not change God by your praying, for He does not change him. Four years I thought God didn't want me to have what ever I was praying about, so I was trying to talk Him into letting me have it. I know my job was to keep pestering Him like I did my earthly daddy, until He changed His mind just to get rid of me. No, God does not operate that way. Faith moves God, not prayer alone.
