Exceedingly Growing Faith : "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus The Son of God, let us hold fast our profession [confession]. Your profession should be your confession of the Word of God daily over the lives of your family members as well as yourself. I want you to notice this: "Seeing then that we have a great high priest. . ." Or, if you like, "this is the reason we must hold fast to our confession because we have such a great high priest." In looking up the Greek word for "confession," I found out that it says, "Let us hold fast to saying the same things." As I have said once, and even twice, I'll say it again words are the most powerful thing on earth. Jesus is up there representing us and the throne of God, and He is saying, "I took their place. You and I will give an account of every idle in operative word that we have ever spoken. Jesus is saying, I died for them as their substitute." He didn't die for Himself. He didn't need to redeem Himself-- He wasn't lost. He died for us. He became my substitute. He took my sins. He boarded my sicknesses. He carried my diseases. He died for me. He rose from the dead for me. He ascended on high for me, and He is up there right now saying, "I did that for him." And we are to hold fast to saying the same thing down here. That is what puts the devil on the run. Focus your attention on the right things rather than on your self. Rather than your sicknesses, your diseases, your sin ! Many people who are saying that they are Christian or talking the devil's language and that is part of the problem of why things are going the way it is in their lives. You want to give God glory then start saying what he said. (Proverbs 4:20-22) "My son, ladies you are included in this, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them [my words] not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they [my words] or life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." Many people fail because they see themselves failing. A turning point came in my life when I first saw this Scripture. Until that time I had always seen myself struggling in my Christian walk, bound by habits and under the influence of drugs and alcohol including cigarettes. I was powerless I could picture every detail about it. But after I read this Scripture, I could see myself well delivered set free because I understood that the Word of God is the power of God. It wasn't my attendance in what you would call church it simply was that I obeyed (Proverbs 4:20--22). I began to see myself alive. And I began to see myself doing things I had never done because of the sinful condition I was in. I knew God had called me to preach and teach sound doctrine, and I could see myself preaching and teaching. I know a lot of these things that I'm saying seems foreign to you perhaps because your church doctrine does not teach them. I began to get ready for the ministry. And a lot of people asked me where is my church, and I reply that I am the temple of God, I am his church. Which is the body ! No I didn't go to seminary I called the cemetery because many men and women are preaching a dead religion. And Jesus is not dead but he has arisen in me. "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things passed away behold all things become new."
