DON'T MAKE THE FEAR CONNECTION ! Notice, it says, that the In righteousness shall you be establish : you shall be far from oppression ; for you shall not fear : and from terror , for it shall not come near you. (Isaiah 54: 14) In other words, fear is the spirit connector to oppression. Fear is the connector to sickness and disease. Fear is the connector to poverty and every other manifestation of the curse. Fear, is the connector to depression. You can also say it this way: fear connects us to the spirit of fear, just as faith in God's Word connects us to the Spirit of faith. The spirit of fear is the devil himself. It's the spirit the Apostle John referred to as the spirit of antichrist. In other words it is against Jesus Christ. That spirit of Satan works through your mind. And the Apostle Paul said it this way, "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither, indeed, can be." (Romans 8:5 through 7). To get the full impact of the term antichrist, you have to realize that Christ is not Jesus last name. It's not His title. Christ is a Greek word that means "the anointing," or "the Anointed One." The anointing in Jesus is the power of the Holy Spirit that came on Him in the Jordan River. It is the power that gave Him the right to say, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of THE LORD (Luke 4:18-19). According to (Isaiah 10:27), the yoke (of oppression) of the devil is destroyed by the anointing. So, I called the anointing the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God. Notice it's not the yoke Breaking power but the yoke destroying power. The Hebrew word translated destroy refers to corrosion or rust. Do you know what rust does to steel ? It disintegrates it. You just leave rust along and let it do its work, there won't be any steel left ! That's what the anointing goes to the yoke of oppression. It rendered it unfit for Satan's use. If it were just broken, it could be mended. But, the anointing doesn't break it. It explodes it into powder. When the anointing comes on the scene, it leaves the devil (demon) standing naked without nothing left. That's the reason he is the anti-Christ. He is against that anointing. It's also the reason he is against us. As born again believers, we are the body of Christ-- the body of that anointing in the earth ! Just as faith in Jesus connects to the Spirit of the anointing, fear connects to the spirit of the anti-anointing. If you doubt it, think about what happened to Job. His spirit was connected to THE BLESSING of God, then suddenly, Job found himself connected to the oppression of the devil. Job was a blameless and upright, and one that reverently feared God and abstain from and shunned evil because he was wrong. But somehow, Satan found a way to put his yoke on Job's neck and destroyed everything he had. Job tells us in his own words how that happened. He said, "The thing which I greatly feared is come unto me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. I was not in safety, neither had I rest, neither was I quite; yet trouble came." Do you see what was happening in his life ? He wasn't resting in faith. He wasn't quite. He was up every night, nursing his spirit of fears about his children. He thought maybe it might help to worry about them. He didn't realize that by worrying, he was actually opening the door to trouble. People do the same thing today.
