DOMINION ! : In the first chapter of Genesis, God told Adam to dominate this earth-- take dominion over it and subdue it. This was not only for the earth, but also for all that is in it. In other words, if anything got out of line, Adam was to put it back in line. This was Adam's responsibility, but he didn't do what God commanded. He turned his authority over to the evil one; Satan who was Lucifer and now is the devil. He (Adam) bound his need to an outlaw spirit. The Church the individual believer or collective believers today stand in a position that is parallel to that of Adam in the beginning. We can either bow our need to the outlaw spirits and giving into the things that the enemy puts before us, or we can stand boldly against them with the name of Jesus and the Word of God which is the sword of the Spirit, and break their ability to deceive. We have authority to demand deliverance, healing, soundness, and preservation: which all encompass salvation from our adversaries through the Word of God and the name of Jesus. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD: You may be just as I was when I first heard of the believer's authority. I thought, Man, I wouldn't dare do that. I might make the devil mad. The real reason I wouldn't do it was because I had no revelation in my spirit of who I am in Christ. I was like the desperately ill man who Charismatic friend suggested he rebuke the devil and command him to leave. He replied, "Look, I am not in any position to antagonize anyone !" Thank God, I found out Satan is no match for the believer who knows That the Word of God is the power of God and his authority and position in Jesus Christ ! When you are truly born again, you put The Word of God first, and everything else last in your life. You become the righteousness of God and a joint heir with Jesus. All that Jesus has is yours. His righteousness is imputed to you. "For He (God the Father) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin or us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21). He (Jesus) hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). When you stand before Satan, he doesn't see you--- he sees the authority of the Word of God on your lips and the Lord Jesus. The Word says you are the righteousness of God, re-created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God ordained. (Ephesians 2: 10). We have sung those old unbelieving songs so long that we thought it was true. "Just a weary pilgrim, struggling through this world, know not today what tomorrow will bring, shadows, sunshine or rain." The apostle Paul said, "For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we all accounted as sheep for the slaughter." Most people stop right there, but the next verse says: nay or No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:36-37).
