DIVINE PROTECTION IS FOR EVERYONE !

DIVINE PROTECTION IS FOR EVERYONE ! That wasn't just an isolated incident, either. Things like that happen all the time in the lives of people that learn to live in the love and faith of God and walk free from fear. I have heard of a man who can give you dozens of examples. He pastors a church in the old New York stock exchange building, across from the site of the World Trade Center. Before the attacks on September 11, 2001, his church staff commuted through the World Trade Center every day. Most of their church members work in or near the World Trade Center, but not one was killed or injured when those buildings came down. Almost all were late to work that day. One of the men is a stickler for being on time. His wife says if he's running behind, he won't even stop to kiss her goodbye because he can't stand being late. But that morning, he just could not get it together, and he was late. One church member who's office was in the World Trade Center was walking down the street toward it, and in his spirit he heard THE LORD say, Run ! So he took off running. He danced into a subway entrance and when he did, the explosion hit. He lived out the reality of (Isaiah 54:14). Terror didn't come near him. That was true for many that day. More people were late to work on the morning of September 11, 2001, than ever before in the history of Wall Street. "Well, I don't see why God didn't just speak to every body like he spoke to the member of that congregation." He did. He spoke to everyone there. "Then, why wasn't everyone saved ?" Because there were three classes of people involved. There were those who wouldn't have known God if He had worn a sign around His neck. Walking in the front door and said, "I'm God. Leave now." Because they'd never paid any attention to Him before, those people would have said, "Who is that fool coming in here saying He's God ?" And ignored Him. There were also people who heard God's voice and didn't act on it. They were like the people in the New Testament that heard God speak to Jesus and thought that it was thundered. They all just stood there, and did nothing. The third group was those who heard Him and did what He said. They got out of there. One woman from my friends congregation had left the building and was going back in because the people in charge had said it was safe. But she heard THE LORD said in her heart, get out of here and take everyone with you who will follow. So, she turned around and called out to them all. "Come on, we all need to leave !" "But they said we could go back," they answered. "I don't care what they said. God said get out of here and I'm going. You can do what you want." A lot of people followed her out and went home safely that day. God my Father will not violate your will, to do or not to do His will, which is His Holy Written Word!
