BELIEVING GOG IS A DECISION YOU MUST MAKE ! : (2 Peter 1:2--3) "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the Knowledge of God, and of Jesus, our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the Knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue; By Which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." Notice in this text, we are made partakers through the Knowledge of him that has called us, and that by these promises you might be partakers of the divine nature. Even though God has given unto us all things you and I have to choose God's method to be a partaker of the divine nature. It didn't say choose religion are choose a particular denomination. The divine nature is the Word of promise! Peter, says it this way, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible. By the Word of God, which lives and abides forever." Although faith is the ability to conceive God's Word into the human spirit, your unrenewed mind don't always want to believe God his way. You must make a decision to believe God his way. You don't just wake up some morning feeling like believing God. In fact, most mornings you wake up thinking, "Dear God, I wish I didn't have to believe that today. I know it says that in your Word. But it looks so different in the natural. I wish I didn't have to believe what you say." But you must make a decision to believe it if you are going to receive it. Sometimes that means you believe it in the face of apparent defeat. Even in the face of lack, you stand on your decision to believe the promise of God Word. When things are going wrong it's time to button your lips and only believe what He has said. The apostle Paul said it this way. "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God..."(Ephesians 4:29--30). In certain situations, if you can't speak in agreement with God's Word, then don't speak at all. But there are other times we must force our mouth to speak and declare God's Word over the situation in order to change it. Our words should always be filled with the faith of God, and they should minister grace to the hearer. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, "who is the number one person to hear what you say? If you look in the mirror, you are looking at the number one hearer. You are the one who hear it first. First you hear it in your thought. Then you speak it. On the other hand, the enemy your adversary gives you a thought, and you speak it. Remember we talked about you hearing your voice on the microphone are a recorder. When you heard it, you were embarrassed, because it didn't sound at all like you thought you sounded. The reason for that was you had always heard yourself mostly with the inner ear. If you plug up your ears and speak, your voice sounds louder to you, because your enter ear is picking up that sound. Your voice is picking up by the enter ear and is fed directly into the human spirit. I asked the question one time what are you listening to that is renewing your mind? If you are listening to a bunch of worldly music, what do you expect will come out of your mouth? Paul says be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. This is how you get God's Word into your heart. And by the same method is how you get the devils thoughts and words in your heart. This is why faith will come more quicker when you speak God's Word and by the same principle that's how fear comes when you say and speak what you hear the world, and the devil says. For your spirit will receive the words you speak more quicker than it will receive words that others speak. I can read the Word of God to you, but it will not affect you to the same degree as if you spoke and declared the Word of God yourself. Your voice speaking the Word of God transmits the force of faith into your human spirit more profoundly. That is why Proverbs say, "Let not mercy and truth for sake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them up on the table of thine heart (Proverbs 3:3) you write these things on the table of your heart by speaking them. The psalmist David says, ... "My tongue is the pen of a ready writer." (Psalms 45:1) this is how you write God's Word on your heart. This is how you write things of the world on your heart. This is how faith comes; this is how fear comes. Faith in God comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God. Fear comes by hearing and hearing what the world and the devil is saying. To hear it, someone must speak it. And you speaking the Word of God is the most efficient way for you to receive faith or fear. Faith will come more quicker if you confess the Word of God over your family and yourself. You will become a partaker of the divine nature!
