BACK TO THE EDEN WAY ! Who said anything about living on a janitor's salary ? Don't expect to live on it. Expect to give it ! That should be your attitude; act on the instructions in (Ephesians 4:28): "Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the things which is good, that he may have two give to him that needs." Use the janitorial income to minister financial BLESSING to someone or to someone's ministry that are doing great things in this world. Invest It in the Kingdom of God. The Bible says when you do that, The Lord Jesus, your heavenly High Priest, will multiply and increase the fruits of it until you are "enriched in every thing to all bountifulness." A janitor who is interested in everything to all bountifulness isn't a poor man. He's a rich man. He can have a jet if he wants one. "Why would a janitor want a jet ?" It depends on what he does on his weekends ! Now, the bread and the wine that Melchizedek brought; these are the embryos of the Lord's supper, showing that Melchizedek and the portraits fully understood the doctrine of atonement (Galatians 3:8; Hebrew 4:1-2; first Peter 1:10-12 compare Luke 22:14-20; first Corinthians 11:23-34). The first use of the word proves that God has had representatives in all ages. Melchizedek was a Gentile whose priesthood is eternal in Christ (Psalms 110:4; Hebrews 5:10; 6:20; 7:1 through 28) The Aaronic priesthood was temporary (Hebrews 7:11-12). Hebrew. El-El-yon, Most High God. First occurrence (verse 18-22). El signifies Strong, First. It is the title that shows God to be The Mighty One, the First cause of everything, the possessor of the heaven and earth. It is used 2 hundred and 45 times and is connected with some of the attributes of God as: Al-mighty- God (17:1); Everlasting- God (21:33); Jealous- God (Exodus 20:5); Great- God (Deuteronomy 10:17); Living- God (Joshua 3:10); Merciful- God (Deuteronomy 4:31); Faithful- God (Deuteronomy 7:9); Mighty- God (Deuteronomy 7:21) in Deuteronomy 32:4 it is connected with Truth, Justice, Righteousness, and perfection. El-El-yon is always to refer to the highest sovereign of the heavens and earth compare: (Luke 1:76; Acts 17:24). This is the first instance of praising God in Scripture (verse 19). Compare this with the last time (Revelation 19:1 through 10). First example of paying Tithes (verse 20). The Doctrine Of Tithing, a mode or appealing to God and calling Him to witness any transaction. It was and is a way of taking a Solemn oath. Compare (Isaiah 62:8, Daniel 12:7; Revelation 10:5-6). Whatever the original saying meant, it is clear that Abraham refused the smallest part of what belonged to another. His allies could take what was customary but he would have nothing but the food that had been eaten (verse 23-24).
